Translations & Proofreading

You have a document to be translated, it is late or the weekend?  Spamalot does not only translate your document at night or on weekends, but is available for you at any time - even on short notice or tight deadline.  What’s more, hardly any text exists that is too complicated for Spamalot.

If you already have a translation or a text in either language, but would like to check if it is complete, if the style is consistent, if the grammar is correct and the vocabulary accurate - Spamalot will be happy to provide proofreading services, which also include a check and adjustment of the layout your document needs.

Languages for translations and proofreading are German and English (UK) and (U.S.).  Spamalot is native bi-lingual with an eye for the details.  Regular rates apply to documents with less than 7,000 words and range from EUR 0.06 to EUR 0.08 per translation word and from EUR 0.02 to EUR 0.04 for proofreading. So you know what you need to pay, all prices include taxes.

For documents or books with more than 7,000 words a lump-sum fee will be charged below the charge per word.  What’s more, for large projects Spamalot will charge on basis of an hour estimate. Speed is of the essence when in business. A realistic lump-sum charge concerns the estimated word processing hours, so you can stay in business with Spamalot for your large project.

Editing & Adaptations

You are still making changes to your translated text, or are adding more information to your document in either language?  Then it's time you get professional help for your edits.  Spamalot works swiftly for those jobs, where a quick turnaround is of the essence, so your business partners can read the newest version of your writing.

You realize there is something wrong with your text? Spamalot improves your writing with adaptations and is the second set of eyes you need. Matters of style are sometimes hard to answer for the one with the idea. Let the expert take a look at your diction, grammar and syntax and suggest adaptations where it simply doesn't work in the other language.

Your joke works in German but not in English? The phrase is well known in the U.S. but how do you tell a German about it? Adaptations are not the biggest sin to authenticity when the alternative is omission.  Spamalot will find a way to equilibrate authenticity and context to derive the fitting free translation.

Data Processing & Presentations

You have a dataset on hardcopy or PDF and need it in Excel or you have a text document and need a presentation on PowerPoint?  Spamalot will do your alpha-numerical data entries and text conversions to PowerPoint with large volume and/or on tight deadline at the same standards of quality and accuracy as Spamalot provides all other services for your idea.

Processing your data or creating presentations is charged by the page. For documents with 25 or less pages Spamalot will charge EUR 15.00 per letter page or German A4 page including tax.

For documents with more than 25 pages of data processing or presentation materials Spamalot will charge on the basis of an hour estimate. The normal hourly rate is EUR 30. Speed is of the essence when in business. A realistic lump-sum charge concerns the estimated word processing hours, so you can stay in business with Spamalot for your large project.
